A Special Visit from Lucy Worsley
Here, at Shackleford Pianos, we have had the pleasure of meeting Lucy Worsley - writer, TV presenter and the Chief Curator of Historic Royal Places - and are grateful for having the opportunity to allow Lucy and her crew to film her forthcoming documentary about Agatha Christie.
Agatha Christie was a renowned writer, writing such books as "Murder On the Orient Express" and "Murder On The Nile". What few people know, however, is that Agatha was also a talented - but shy - pianist who often played on her Steinway when she was alone. This is what brought Lucy to Shackleford Pianos to film about Agatha Christie and her life - to talk about one of Agatha Christie's hidden hobbies.
Lucy Worsley has written a fantastic book about Agatha Christie - you can get a signed edition of her book "Agatha Christie: A Very Elusive Woman" here.
Did you know that Agatha Christie's piano survived a bombing raid? Find out more about it here.
