Collection: Yamaha Piano Manufacturing

yamaha history
In making so many upright and grand pianos each year, Yamaha pianos certainly know about how to create a well balanced piano. They are all fitted with a spruce soundboard, hard maple bridges, aluminium alloy action rails, and a polyester piano finish.
The finest spruce for the pianos are selected at the Yamaha lumber mill and wooden mill. Only 10% of the total of solid spruce is selected for the Yamaha piano soundboards. This ensures the best amplification of sound, best tone and sustain.
Yamaha pianos have a reinforced crown in the soundboards and also a metal action rail. This means that the screws do not come lose and is stable during weather changes. Yamaha Pianos are famous for their balanced action and they claim that each key on every piano is tested before it leaves the Yamaha factory. This allows Yamaha pianos to reach the highest in touch and playability of their instruments.
One of the other aspects of Yamaha pianos is that he piano keys are made of spruce on every model Yamaha create. Spruce is ideal for piano keys despite the cost being far greater than other woods. It is this attention to detail that Yamaha pianos pride themselves in.
