The cabinet is badly faded in its original rosewood finish. This can be refinished any way you wish, from antique to modern high gloss.
This Blüthner grand piano is a beautifully made piano in a German Walnut finish with a fine selection of materials for the soundboard - always an indicator of a piano maker who knows what they are doing. The frame is well cast, and all the piano componetry is of a very high standard, resulting in a piano that when restored will be a fine example of the pinnacle if piano making.
The cabinetry looks fantastic, although it is faded and scratched in places. Parts of the piano around the keys have also fallen off. However, with the right level of restoration, this piano has the potential to look outstanding. The sound also has the potential to sound absolutely vibrant and beautiful once the right level of tuning and internal work is completed.
