The cabinet is badly faded in it's original ebonised finish. This can be re polished to easy finish you wish, antique ebonised or modern high gloss. This Steinway piano is a beautifully made piano in a ebonised finish with a fine selection of materials for the soundboard - always an indicator of a piano maker who knows what they are doing. The frame is well cast, and all the piano componetry is of a very high standard, resulting in a piano that when restored will be a fine example of the pinnacle if piano making.
