This piano is a Challen with a gorgeous design featuring patterned moulding. As with all Challen pianos, this is a very well made piano, with beautifully selected materials throughout the piano. The soundboard is masterfully made - always an indicator of a piano maker who knows what they are doing. Challen were one of the UK's finest piano makers, the cast iron frames is incredibly well done, and all the piano componetry is of a very high standard, resulting in a piano that produces very nice tone and is lovely to play.
The piano case of this Challen is splendid, with patterned moulding and fine straight grained mahogany cabinetry. This upright piano is a fantastic furniture piece as well as a quality musical instrument.
