Challen upright piano in English Oak cabinetry with barley twist legs.

Challen were an English piano maker that made pianos to a very high standard. Little more mass produced than makers like Chappell, Challen pianos were manufactured in much the same way Yamaha pianos are made today. The pianos were designed and produced to meet high musical standards and the pianos produce a lovely tone with good playability.

This piano has been reconditioned using authentic parts and materials to give the piano the character and ambience of a piano made in the golden period of piano making. We are confident in giving this piano a full 5 year warranty. This piano has a gorgeous, clear tone, a fantastic voice and a well-built action that provides excellent playability. The upright piano also has a fold down music desk.

This Challen is finished in a beautiful English Oak with a three panelled front featuring fancy decoration and has unique barley twist style legs. This upright piano is a lovely piece of furniture as well as a fine musical instrument.
