This piano is a Challen of London with an Art Deco design. As with all Challen pianos, this is a very well made piano, with beautifully selected materials throughout the piano. The soundboard is masterfully made - always an indicator of a piano maker who knows what they are doing. Challen were one of the UK's finest piano makers, the cast iron frames is incredibly well done, and all the piano componetry is of a very high standard, resulting in a piano that produces very nice tone and is lovely to play.
The piano case of this Challen is truly art deco, with Art Deco curves mixed with straight grained variations of wood finishes, straight lines meet curved lines, brass meets chrome - this a vey collectable piece, as well as a quality musical instrument.
